Burnham-On-Sea

Burnham-On-Sea is a thriving seaside town, with an award-winning sandy beach and plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants to find delicious fish and chips! At low tide, wander up to the ‘lighthouse on legs’, built in 1832 to deliver fishing boats back home to their safe harbour.

The Pier is another famous landmark at Burnham-On-Sea, renowned for being Britain’s shortest pier! Play classic games in the arcade, a great choice for a rainy day. Explore the classic Victorian and Edwardian promenade, with original guesthouses, shops and cafes. As well as the golden sandy beach being one of the longest in Europe, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy including water parks, horse riding and creating sand art. Burnham-On-Sea also has many attractions a short drive or bus ride away, including Brean Leisure Amusement Park, with over 40 rides and attractions. Here you’re also close by to Apex Park, which is the perfect place to enjoy a picnic and make the most of the 42 acres of wide-open space, lakeside walking routes and outdoor gym.
